Calcium and vitamin D3 supplement for CKD bone health
Indication
Treatment of hypocalcemia and secondary hyperparathyroidism in CKD. Used for bone health maintenance and prevention of renal osteodystrophy in chronic kidney disease patients.
Mode of Action
Calcium carbonate provides supplemental calcium while acting as phosphate binder. Calcitriol (active vitamin D3) increases calcium absorption and suppresses PTH secretion.
