Indication
Treatment of iron deficiency anemia in chronic kidney disease patients, particularly those on hemodialysis and receiving erythropoietin therapy.
Mode of Action
Iron sucrose complex provides readily available iron for erythropoiesis. Intravenous route bypasses GI absorption issues common in CKD.
