Indication
Prevention and treatment of cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection in kidney and heart transplant recipients at high risk.
Mode of Action
Prodrug of ganciclovir that inhibits CMV DNA polymerase, preventing viral replication. Better oral bioavailability than ganciclovir.
